In Mostar marked the 10th anniversary of the death of President Trajkovski

Macedonia lost great political leader and visionary with European and Euro-Atlantic strategy, regional peacemaker devoted to dialogue, building trust, mutual understanding and respect, and the world a man with a big heart, with good idea to connect people wherever he went. Relatives lost beloved husband, father, son, brother, cousin, friend etc.

This was stated by the President Gjorgje Ivanov, who today led the Macedonian state delegation to the celebration of 10 years since the plane crash and the death of former President Boris Trajkovski and his associates in Rotimlje in Mostar.

As MIA reports from Mostar, our delegation and Minister for Education and Science Spiro Ristovski, representatives of the Army, while wreaths were laid at the memorial by representatives of the highest authorities of BiH, as well as representatives of associations of Macedonians in BiH and Macedonian peacemakers from Althea and Marija Trajkovska granddaughter of the late president.

- Today, 10 years later, we are still waiting to fulfill the vision of Boris Trajkovski of European Macedonia. I am confident that his dream and the dream of every Macedonian citizen, as a full member of the EU and NATO will be realized, said Ivanov. Reminded that the last document on which Trajkovski put his signature was the application for membership of Macedonia in the EU.

Chairman of the Bosnian Presidency Zheljko Komshikj said that the late President Boris Trajkovski was a friend of BiH, post politician, diplomat and statesman.

- The pain that his family feels for ten years, unfortunately we cannot offer comfort, but only sympathy in the hope that the family will get the truth and will get the deserved peace in their souls. BiH lost great friend and great leader throughout the region, said Komshikj.
